Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - Highways to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and managing complex highway projects in the region and beyond.

Lead and oversee highway engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetsDevelop and review detailed highway designs, including alignment, grading, drainage, and traffic management plansCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate highway designs with other infrastructure elementsConduct technical analyses and prepare comprehensive engineering reports and presentationsMentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development and growthInteract with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success and compliance with local and international standardsImplement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practicesContribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal preparation and client presentationsEnsure strict adherence to quality assurance procedures and safety standards throughout all project phases

QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation Engineering, Highway Engineering, or a related field5-9 years of experience in highways, roadway, or motorways designProficiency in ORD (Open Roads Design) and Civil 3D softwareExperience with AutoCAD and MicroStation, including 2D design capabilitiesDemonstrated expertise in highway/rehab related design & modeling, land development, traffic management plans, junctions, road signs & markingsKnowledge of highway-related BIM and Common Data Environment (CDE) conceptsExperience working on international projects, particularly in the Middle East, UK, US, Canada, or Australia/New ZealandFamiliarity with local and international highway design standards and regulationsStrong project management skills with the ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projectsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding communication and leadership abilitiesWillingness to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentAbility to adapt to evolving project requirements and technological advancements in the field
