Purpose

Regional Method Specialist role is for improving Method Safety, Quality and Efficiency at region level.

Responsibilities and key activities

This section includes the responsibilities and key activities that the Regional Method Specialist accountable or responsible to execute.

Method Safety

Drive safety improvement actions fo`r all to perform as per KONE safety requirementsAudit sites, Regular review of Incidents related to method safety and drive actionsCoordinate with relevant function and drive awareness on usage of all safety equipment/ tools  Follow the safety procedures and rules of customers, partners and KONEEnsure improvement process for each installation to follow the safety processes and guidelinesStop installation or lift operation if any safety deviation is observed during installationDrive risk assessment practices in all escalator projects

Method conformance

Drive AM usage and compliance through periodic site visit and on site assessmentSupport installation team with relevant AM document for global and special productsCoordinating with relevant function in ensuring New product AM and knowledge to allTechnical support for method related issues & queriesSupport piloting and share feedback for improving installability and efficiency                                                                                                                                              Ensure 100% implementation of Method Certification process and coordination with concernedAddress improvements any in implementing Site work combination in all sitesEnsure critical communications reach all relevant people and implemented at sites on timeConduct Method consistency program in all branches and drive improvement actionsClose coordination with Method Champion in addressing all method related actionsReport all installability issues to relevant functions

Installation Efficiency

Drives 100% site absolute readiness through periodic visits/ auditsEffective implementation of installation schedule adherenceDriving Installation time efficiency and reviewing factors affecting efficiencyEnsure all the branches maintain proper record for Tools and its calibration and utilizationCome up with ideas on simplification tools improving installation efficiencyDriving 5S and ensure improvement in storage and handling of installation toolsDrive fast and smart execution practices to ensure branches achieve ITE targetEnsure effective laser survey and analysis process for all jobs in all the branchesDrive FTRI (First Time Right Installation) improvement actionsMonthly review of I-Call to list corrective actions and drive closureReview ITE of branches and share best practicesConduct periodic meetings with branches for driving compliance and efficiency

Scaffoldless

Planning & budgeting of tirak requirements at region levelDrive 100% utilization of tirak hoists and address all improvement requirementsAddressing packaging, logistics and maintainability of tiraks coordinating with relevant functionCoordinate training needs with relevant function

Method competency

Coordinate with relevant function in ensuring the Training needs of region are addressed on timeDrive online training/ assessment for various installation roles and maintain recordNew Product Method training and availability of Tools to be ensured coordinating with concerned

Professional requirements

BE / Diploma, Mechanical and Equivalent degreeMin 5 years hands-on working experience in Elevator Installation.Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & Power point etc..)Presentation skillFluent in English (Hindi is added advantage) & relevant regional languageIn-depth Knowledge of Installation methodology in both scaffold and scaffoldless
