Senior Engineer

This role is responsible for the Project management of Cardinal Health products at Contract Manufacturing (CM) and Private brand (PB) sites.

Job Description

Project Management (PM) for various projects at contract manufacturing and Private label partners.Candidates must have the ability to work independently and be able to communicate effectively with team members.Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers for engineering issues.Conduct, coordinate and aid in formal Process Validations including protocol development and execution.Manage all technical aspects of the ECO (Engineer Change Order) process into the Global Sourcing organization.Manage localization activities with Contract Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering.Ensure new processes have adequately demonstrated specified process and test control capabilities, through being the Champion for PFMEA, DFM, DFT, DFSS, CAPA and NCR.Specify and procure capital in the support of manufacturing and test processes.Ability to meet at off hours to support suppliers located across the globe with global time zone differences.Work as a liaison with the Contract Manufacturer and Cardinal Health to ensure design for manufacturing elements is incorporated to improve yield and reduce costs.Provide guidance to Contract Manufacturer in designs and evaluates new and existing fixtures and equipment, test methods, specifications, layouts, and standards supporting a Lean manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s in Engineering, Manufacturing, or relevant technical fieldAt least seven years’ experience working in medical device manufacturingProject management skills, PMP certification is a plusExperience working with FDA Quality Systems Regulations and ISO Quality SystemsFamiliarity with SPC, Experimental Design, and Statistical Sampling TechniquesExperience with Agile PLM is advantageousProcess verification and validation knowledgeLean manufacturing/Six Sigma concepts and understandingResults drivenSelf-directed with the ability to develop, facilitate and gain consensus in a team environmentEffective communication skills with superiors, subordinates, and contractorsAbility to adapt to evolving projects requirementsExcellent problem-solving skillsDemonstrate flexibility, adaptability and integrity when making decisionsInternational travel required (approximately 25% within Asia)Mandarin and English communication skills are required to work in China and across the regionAbility to attend calls with colleagues in the US as and when required
