This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will be based in Greensboro, NC.
Position Summary
The HAF Division, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead and direct the delivery of engineering support and control the design, performance and manufacture of filtration/separation vessels and mechanical products.
The Senior Engineer will lead and direct the Vessel Engineering team to provide timely, accurate, code-compliant, efficient and solution-oriented engineering support and design control for all current vessel and mechanical products.
Responsibilities
+ The Senior Engineer will lead and direct the Vessel Engineering team to provide timely, accurate, code-compliant, efficient and solution-oriented engineering support and design control for all current vessel and mechanical products.
+ Develop, implement, maintain, and refine a comprehensive engineering design process, for assigned customer orders, which includes completion of a thorough order and specification review; ASME design calculations; a specification data sheet; and any other documentation required.
+ Review product specifications and/or modifications to ensure clarity, completeness, form, fit, function, and conformity to standards and procedures. Troubleshoot design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions, engineering change orders, and improvements to engineering management.
+ Lead and direct engineering design reviews to enhance existing designs and/or develop new products and designs.
+ Ensure that Engineering Change Notices (ECN) are appropriately reviewed and completed in a timely manner.
+ Provide engineering support to other departments, customers and special projects, as required.
+ Communicate with customers to identify new business opportunities, present Parker product capabilities, and clarify customers’ technical requirements. May write technical proposals for customers by reviewing and interpreting specifications and requirements.
+ Updates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and/or participating in professional associations.
Qualifications
+ At least 5 years in an ASME Section VIII, Division I manufacturing environment with emphasis on Engineering Design; heavy equipment design experience required.
+ Working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel design and Compress software
+ FEA analysis experience, experience with Microsoft Office products, ERP systems
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
+ Ability to work in a team environment, cultivate strong relationships, and demonstrate initiative
+ Ability to establish individual objectives to complete projects and provide status to the team at project milestones. Ability to effectively influence the overall team and functional objectives.
Education
BS Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering w/5 years related industry experience. Master's Preferred.
P.E. Designation required.
This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
