None/Not RequiredWe are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to join our System Integration organization, Systems Analysis group in Windsor Locks, CT. As a Senior Engineer, you will focus on steady state and transient thermal fluids analysis, supporting the design and development of complex integrated air management systems. This role includes architecting system-level solutions, sizing components, developing advanced 0D/1D thermal fluid models, analyzing system performance, and defining system test plans.
You will play a key role in cross-disciplinary collaboration, working closely with customers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to define and refine system and component-level requirements. Your work will involve breaking down and negotiating these requirements to ensure accurate representation of both steady state and transient thermal characteristics.
This position is ideal for someone looking to grow as a technical leader, develop deep subject matter expertise, and work on high-impact projects. The role requires the ability to operate independently and proactively in a dynamic, hands-on engineering environment.
What You Will Do
Under minimal direction, architect, size, and design thermal fluid systems for heating, cooling, and ventilation of aircraft.
Formulate conceptual designs of thermal fluid products and systems to meet customer requirements and achieve business objectives, with an emphasis on precise thermal management and system/component reliability.
Develop advanced mathematical models or other computational methods to create, evaluate, or modify designs in accordance with customer engineering requirements.
Perform system-level analyses of thermal fluid systems and prepare detailed technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
With some direction, create and implement common procedures and standard work across the organization to improve efficiency and consistency.
Collaborate with customers to establish specifications, perform analyses, and plan performance testing.
Analyze test results to ensure consistency with performance predictions and compliance with system requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a focus on systems analysis, thermal/fluid systems, or performance analysis.
3–5 years of experience in the Aerospace, Automotive, or Oil & Gas industry.
Experience working within a matrixed organization and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and teams.
Experience in turbo machinery design, vapor cycle systems, or heat exchanger design.
Proficiency in reduced order modeling techniques for system-level simulations and trade studies.
Experience with using desktop simulation for requirement validation and verification.
Demonstrated expertise in modeling tools such as Dymola, Modelon Impact, MATLAB, and Simulink.
Programming experience with Python, and modeling languages such as Modelica or SysML.
Strong communication skills, with experience presenting technical results to both management and customers.
Proven experience in task planning, detail scheduling, and project execution in a technical environment.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
