**Summary** This role involves hands-on experience with Android and iOS-based mobile devices, a strong understanding of the wireless telecom ecosystem, and a passion for working with emerging technologies. The engineer will be responsible for managing test plans, executing regression testing, validating OEM/test partner results, and overseeing the lifecycle of mobile device testing for a wireless service provider. **Key Responsibilities** + Develop, document, and revise test plans and procedures for mobile devices and wireless accessories. + Manage bug reporting and resolution processes; perform software upgrades using OEM tools. + Oversee test sample inventory, distribution, activation, and firmware updates. + Validate OEM and partner test results through regression and ad-hoc testing. + Certify maintenance releases (MRs) and security updates by executing relevant test cases. + Compile test data, collect logs, and generate engineering reports for internal and external stakeholders. + Maintain issue tracking systems and ensure timely updates and communication. + Troubleshoot device-related issues and conduct field testing as needed. + Monitor customer-reported issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop test methods to improve satisfaction. + Deploy and manage new test tools and automation frameworks. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing requirements and outcomes. **Required Skills & Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field. + 5+ years of experience in product development or technology management, with at least 3 years in mobile/wireless domains. + Strong understanding of LTE and 5G RF and Core technologies. + Proficiency in Android and iOS platforms, including smartphones, tablets, and wearables. + Experience with GSM/WCDMA/LTE/WiFi technologies. + Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and other issue tracking tools. + Proven ability to plan, develop, and execute feature and functional test cases. + Experience in regression, performance, and stress testing. + Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. + Effective project management and coordination across matrixed teams. + Experience certifying mobile products for MNOs or MVNOs. **Preferred Attributes** + Self-starter with the ability to work independently. + Strong collaboration skills with internal and external teams. + Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and evolving technologies.
