ARINC Incorporated d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Engineer, Software Engineering in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is a hybrid position; must work in the Cedar Rapids, IA facility 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday) and may work remotely on Friday.

What YOU will do
Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.Design, develop, document, test and design control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers in the planning, design, development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.Determine end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.Innovate, design, develop and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions.Ensure hardware and software standards are met.Ensure novel ideas and implementation are captured and protected using applications IP processes and tools.Qualifications You Must Have
Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role would be acceptable.Must possess at least 3 years of experience with programming in Python in a professional software engineering environment.Must possess at least 3 years of experience working in a Linux development environment, including system-level debugging and scripting.Must possess at least 2 years of experience with real-time or streaming data systems, including integration with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message brokers.Must possess at least 2 years of experience with AWS cloud services, including deployment, monitoring, or scaling of backend systems.Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range is $133,494.00 to $164,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
