This individual will provide technical support to the New Product Design engineering teams, purchasing, and all internal and external manufacturing facilities. This position will also include project management responsibilities for tracking new tool builds and changes. This role will be located at the Valley City, OH SBD facility. **The Job:** As a Metal Stamping Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be part of our Engineering team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to: + Provide technical feedback to New Product Design teams for metal parts manufacturability (DFM), using forming simulation as needed + Work with Industrial Design Team on Manufacturing Feasibility Concepts + Provide stamping tool and piece price estimates for various manufacturing options to establish initial budgeting costs + Manage new tool builds from start to completion: + Establish and provide **r** equest **for** **q** uote details to tool suppliers + Work with production locations on tooling requirements and approvals + Progress tracking, tool sampling, and quality reporting + Design and detail steel stamping dies and concepts as needed + Tooling knowledge + Provide technical support to internal and external stamping locations + Work with tool rooms and production facilities to ensure parts and tools meet quality standards + Research and implement new manufacturing ideas and concepts + Most tooling is built offsite; this will require excellent verbal and written communication with all manufacturing and tooling facilities + Willingness and ability to travel as needed. 10% **The Person:** You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions.
