We recently announced plans to expand in Spain by building a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Moncada, Valencia. When it becomes operational in 2026, the plant will manufacture Edwards' surgical and transcatheter heart valve replacement technologies and will join a global network of more than 16,000 talented team members and five other production plants. Our new facility in Moncada will welcome up to 1,500 dedicated team members by 2029 across manufacturing, engineering, and several other professional career paths. Hiring for professional positions has started and will continue through the winter and early spring, with specialized training for manufacturing hires beginning in the fall of 2025.

How you will make an Impact:

Ensure smooth operation of facilities, production equipment and building systems in the manufacturing plant including but not limited to process water system, HVAC system, clean room support, boiler system, incoming power, water supply, air compressed system, building maintenance, fire protection system, sanitary system, and janitorial service.

Lead in the system upgrading and/or improvement projects including validation requirement.

Lead the development of preventive maintenance program to maintain and improve all facilities and building systems reliability.

Asset Lifecycle management review of building systems and production equipment, recommend improvement or upgrading as needed.

Lead cross functional operation and quality team to resolve facilities system or quality related issues. Lead facilities operations meetings to discuss preventative maintenance projects.

Review, approve and assign day to day tasks to technicians maintaining facilities reliability and support internal customers’ requests.

Monitor and maintain facilities systems and procedures to comply to regulatory, quality and EHS system. Prepare and participate in Quality and EHS audits.

Identify and recommend maintenance contracts.

Achieve plant EHS goals by monitoring (supervising) technicians/contractors to ensure that their work is performed safely.

Provide training and guidance to facilities technicians to achieve department goals.

Review, establish and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Participate in annual budgeting process and ensure spending meets objectives.

What you will need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

5 years of relevant experience

Good engineering background on facilities and building systems

What else we look for (Preferred):

Experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment 

Construction Projects experience

Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills including consultative and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

Demonstrated conflict resolution skills

Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to influence change

Proven success adhering to and leading project schedules and managing projects

Substantial understanding and knowledge of facilities systems and preventive maintenance programs

Substantial knowledge of facilities related government regulations, GMP, and EHS

Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

Good leadership skills and ability to influence change

Strict attention to detail

Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects

Adhere to all EHS rules, regulations and risk assessments and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as prevention of pollution to the environment.
