Lead overall business development and key facets of Power Economic strategy for GE Vernova Consulting ServicesLead, coach and develop a team of Consulting Services professionalsEffectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders by preparing written detailed and summary reports and making presentations describing commercial software solutions, consulting studies, and customer value propositionsDrive commercial success of Consulting Services by delivering the financial goals and business priorities for the team; managing team priorities to ensure that they metActively participate in Industry forums to build industry connections and promote Consulting Services and GE Vernova technologyEvaluate impacts of structural changes in electricity markets via investment opportunities for GE Vernova Finance, and identifying growth opportunities for GE Vernova businesses by developing, applying, and maintaining detailed power market modelsLead project teams by providing power system analysis including: modeling, simulation, and evaluation of design alternativesQualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Economics, Computer Science or related field.10 years of professional experience with power system analysis, design and operation, or generation and transmission planning/pricing.Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%Desired:
MBA or MSEE with Power and/or Computer Science concentrationProficiency with power system analysis tools, e.g., PSLF, MAPS, TARABasic knowledge of energy markets such as: energy price trends (electricity and major fuels); Energy and associated ancillary services market rules and practices; Generation Capacity Markets; Current U.S. energy regulations; Transmission system limitations and operating practices.Knowledge of environmental rules, regulations and control technologiesExperience with: Power system analysis, design and operation, or generation and transmission planning/pricingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient with Office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.The starting base pay range for this position is $131K to $165K USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 15% bonus. This posting is expected to remain open until at least October 4th, 2025.
