BBST - BrazilBoeing Brazil is seeking Senior Electromagnetic Engineer, reporting to the Electrical Installation and Electromagnetic Effects Engineering Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office.
The Senior Electromagnetic Engineer will work with the Boeing Commercial Aircraft engineering global team to support the certification of large aircraft and to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the company’s Design Organization Handbook (DOH).
Position Responsibilities:
Specifies functional and physical input to ensure the development of complete integrated cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.Develops and maintains Schematics and Functional Diagrams, cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs for new product development and legacy programs.Defines and approves requirements for product, system, equipment, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews.Documents processes, specifications and procedures that define the design and manufacture of electrical products.Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.Develops and approves documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.Conducts the development of statements of work.This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.Proficient in both written and verbal English.Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).B.S. degree in Electrical Electronics, Mechanical, or related technical disciplineAbility to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff.Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Experience with Electrical Computer Aided Design tools.Proficient on aircraft development programs and electromagnetic effects on aircraft.Experience on FAA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including FAR-25 requirements. (relevant to EWIS).Experience using CATIA V5/ENOVIA, Siemens Capital or similar.Experience designing or supporting electrical wire harness installations.Experience on product development and post production reconfiguration.Understanding separation requirements regarding EMC, Redundancy and Survivability.Understanding of industry standards such as AS50881 or equivalents.Relocation:
