Senior Electrical Engineering Manager
Curtiss-Wright is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Manager to join our Peerless Instrument facility in East Farmingdale, NY!
We are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers. The Electrical Engineering Manager reports to the Director of Engineering and is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of high precision circuit cards and design assurance firmware. The ideal candidate blends technical expertise with people savvy leadership and the ability to continue to develop the overall strength of the department. We are seeking resourceful candidates that enjoy the challenges of technical management while being able to provide leadership and direction with a changing landscape.
Location: Farmingdale, NY
Salary Information: $160,000 - $210,000

Your Challenge:
Manage a team of engineers providing guidance, mentorship and support to ensure quality designsOversee department performance evaluations, promotions and compensationSupervise the design, development, testing and deployment of high-precision VPX circuit cards and design assurance firmware on time and within budgetCollaborate with other engineering disciplines for design architecture, implementation and integration of FPGA/SoC based DSP processing on circuit cardsProvide discipline level inputs to proposalsEvaluate and deploy tools to assist in efficient electrical and firmware design in a continuous improvement mindsetGrow the MBSE modelling capability of the department to support the overall need for MBSE models of all future productsProvide guidance and assist in troubleshooting of multi-discipline design issuesYour Expertise:
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading or managing a team of individual contributorsMinimum of 10 years of electrical engineering design, development and test experienceExperience in leading a team or department of Electrical Engineers in the development, testing and integration of circuit cards with associated firmware and software designsAbility to manage a team of engineers providing coaching, guidance, mentoring and support to ensure quality designsTechnical expertise to manage those involved with design, development, modification and analysis of various electronic systems including power electronics, circuit design and firmwareExcellent technical writing and communication skillsExcellent analysis and decision-making skillsExcellent time management skillsExperience with VHDL and Verilog FPGA Design including DSPExperience with GIT, SourceTree and JiraExperience operating/managing in an Agile Development environmentExperience with Circuit Card designExperience with writing Python and C/C++ software a benefitUS Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearanceBSEE/BSCE requiredMSEE/MSCE preferredThis is your chance to join a dynamic team developing custom circuit cards and design assurance firmware.
