Senior Electrical Engineer NAVY Power Infrastructure
**Job Description** BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer -NAVY Power Infrastructureto support our work as a prime contractor on high-profile U.S. Navy facility development, recapitalization, and construction projects. Accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate. **Position Description and Responsibilities** : This principal electrical engineering position will be responsible for military construction (MILCON) project development, compliance reviews, constructability reviews and ensuring SSP specific requirements are incorporated into the electrical portion of various design phases of the MILCON projects. BAE Systems is looking for a principal electrical engineer to lead our work as a prime contractor on high-profile U.S Navy weapon systems. This electrical position will support the Navy Program Manager responsible for Strategic Systems Planning (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at TRIDENT Submarine Bases, primarily at Kings Bay, Georgia and Bangor, Washington. This principal engineer will be responsible for the program deliverables associated with new industrial facilities and their integration into the electrical power grid at US Navy bases supporting ballistic missile submarines. The selected candidate will ensure new facilities are designed and constructed to meet the specific MILCON mission requirements and lead the development of the facility requirements from the conceptual level to ready-for-use. The principal engineer will work with Navy Strategic System Program stake-holders and facility operations to coordinate and resolve facility design/integration issues. The principal engineer will lead the development of comprehensive MILCON documentation (DD1391 forms, construction estimates, & facility planning criteria) and the integration of the electrical infrastructure. The candidate will engage in working groups to develop work process with other stake-holders of the new facilities. The candidate will lead the electrical design development of SSP facility construction documentation to ensure the constructed facility performs the function of mission. A limited amount of travel to off-site locations will be required on an as needed basis to support studies and design meetings. The position will require generating correspondence to internal/external customers, other BAE sector government property administrators, and other architectural/engineering personnel. The candidate will be required to manage and support other engineering discipline tasks as needed. This position must also work with and support corporate Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) personnel to maintain a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
