**The Opportunity**
As a Senior Electrical Engineer on the Vascular R&D team, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of next-generation intravascular lithotripsy systems. You will work cross-functionally with electrical, software, and mechanical engineers and with the clinical, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to develop innovative devices and advanced characterization methods to ensure efficacy, safety, and manufacturability. **This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location.**
**What You’ll Work On**
+ Support the design and development of intravascular lithotripsy equipment and catheters.
+ Collaborate with inter-disciplinary and cross-functional teams to define product requirements, develop prototypes, and design and execute experiments.
+ Design test methods and laboratory systems for automated device characterization and data collection.
+ Design circuit boards and embedded software.
+ Collect and analyze prototype performance data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to internal stakeholders.
+ Participate in design reviews and contribute to design history file (DHF) documentation.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
+ 6+ years of relevant experience
+ Advanced computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, database management and specialized applications. Preferred Proficiency with numerical data processing in Python (NumPy, SciPy)
+ Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
+ Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
+ Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
+ Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Proficiency with electrical CAD tools, preferably Altium Designer
+ Proficiency with numerical data processing in Python (NumPy, SciPy)
+ Experience with tools and techniques for productivity in hardware/software system development: oscilloscopes, signal generators, source control in git, in-circuit debuggers
+ Experience in general science and engineering principles. Good laboratory skills.
+ Understanding of design controls, risk management, and regulatory requirements for Class III devices.
+ Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
+ Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
+ Medical device development experience
+ Experience with embedded firmware development in C/C++, preferably ARM processors
+ Experience with software development for motion control and automation
+ Experience with high-voltage electronics
+ Experience with digital signal processing
+ Experience with statistical methods
+ Familiarity with IEC60601-1 and other related electrical hardware regulations
The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 – $156,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
