Position OverviewAs a QinetiQ Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to get hands on in the design, build, and troubleshooting of electronics systems for a variety of end users. In this role, systems can span from compact underwater propulsion units for AUVs to multi-megawatt military vehicle electrification efforts to the Ford class EMALS and AAG systems and many things in between, including many types of unmanned ground robots.

Responsibilities Work within and/or lead multidisciplinary teams of mechanical, electrical, software, and controls engineers to design and support complex systemsAct as the hands-on primary contributor to first iteration design build and troubleshootingOversee the entire component life-cycle from proposal, concept design, prototype build, and production implementation.Design and develop new and novel features for existing productsTroubleshoot and root cause challenging component and systems problemsSpearhead the electrical design and testing to MIL-Spec environmental requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical or equivalent with 5+ years of related experienceHands-on experience building and testing systemsFamiliarity with MIL-Specs and MIL-PRFs related to electrical engineeringAbility to see programs through from proposal to productionExperience interfacing and collaborating with customersPrior mentorship roles especially within an engineering settingExperience with CAD/Analysis programsExperience with software developmentMust be able to obtain a DoD clearance Preferred Qualifications Active DOD security clearance preferred Company EEO Statement
