**Job Description**
The **Senior Draftsman** will be responsible for preparing, updating, and finalizing high-quality technical drawings for major infrastructure, road, and bridge projects, including utilities and landscape works. The role involves developing accurate shop drawings, as-built drawings, and layouts in compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, and international drafting standards. The Senior Draftsman will coordinate closely with engineers, inspectors, and the design team to ensure that drawings accurately reflect site conditions and approved designs.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Drafting & Documentation**
+ Prepare detailed drawings for civil, structural, utilities, and landscape works using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other approved drafting software.
+ Develop and maintain accurate as-built drawings based on site surveys, inspection data, and mark-ups provided by the supervision team.
+ Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and authority requirements.
+ Convert conceptual sketches and engineer’s mark-ups into accurate and precise CAD drawings.
+ Organize and manage drawing files for easy retrieval and version control.
**Coordination & Communication**
+ Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and document control teams to ensure all drawing information is accurate and up to date.
+ Incorporate comments from technical reviews, site inspections, and authority feedback into revised drawings.
+ Liaise with the design office to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical queries.
+ Provide technical drafting support during inspections, coordination meetings, and design discussions.
**Quality & Compliance**
+ Adhere to established drafting standards, layers, and naming conventions.
+ Conduct self-checks and peer reviews of drawings before submission.
+ Ensure the completeness and accuracy of as-built drawings before project handover.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Minimum 7 years of drafting experience, with at least 5 years in UAE infrastructure, roads, and bridges projects.
+ Strong knowledge of utilities, road layouts, and bridge structural drafting.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation (latest versions).
+ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, survey data, and technical specifications.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil/Structural Drafting or Engineering.
+ Familiarity with Dubai authority standards and submission requirements (DEWA, DM, RTA, etc.).
+ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
