We are seeking a full-time Senior DoD Financial Manager to be on-site at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.  The Senior DoD Financial Manager supports Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)), Director of Business Operations. The role provides expertise for all Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities related to the DoD. This support includes interaction with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Comptroller and Washington Headquarters Services to ensure OUSD(A&S) equities are addressed.

Requirements for the Senior DoD Financial Manager:

Oversee budget formulation and execution of the office’s appropriated budget to meet and exceed Comptroller execution benchmarks Prepare budget exhibits (e.g. R1-R4) within the Comptroller Budget Exhibit database; assist with the development of budget Issue papers; and support documentation for Program Decision Memorandums; and generate and maintain files within Defense Agencies Initiative financial system Prepare and participate in budget reviews; address unliquidated obligations; and monitor obligation and expenditure rates Prepare overview briefings for presentation to congressional staff members and other senior government officials Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related accounting / financial management or a combination of experience is required Demonstrated direct experience in Department of Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) Must have an active Top-Secret security clearance and be eligible to access Sensitive Compartmentalized Information to apply for this position Must be a U.S. citizen Organizational experience with the Office of the Secretary of Defense staff; ability to interact with senior government officials (up to 4-star + Senior Executive Service)
