· Translate complex tax drivers into clear, actionable insights to help business leaders understand after-tax results and planning opportunities.

· Identify emerging tax risks and planning opportunities across the enterprise.

SEC Reporting & Technical Excellence

· Oversee preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions.

· Ensure accurate income tax reporting in SEC filings.

· Lead integrity of tax-related internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

· Oversee tax accounting for executive compensation programs.

· Monitor federal, state, and international tax law developments and assess business impact.

Multi-State & Operational Tax Leadership

· Lead enterprise response to IRS and state tax examinations.

· Oversee audits, manage timelines, and coordinate internal and external stakeholders.

· Provide leadership across income tax, sales & use tax, property tax, business licenses, payroll tax, and escheat matters.

· Support M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration.

· Partner with the Director, Sales & Use Tax on cross-functional compliance initiatives.

Digital Transformation & Process Improvement

· Drive modernization of tax processes, systems implementation, and data optimization.

· Enhance analytics capabilities to provide real-time tax insights to the business.

· Partner with Finance, IT, and operations to strengthen reporting automation and controls.

· Manage and optimize relationships with external advisors and service providers.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

· Strong multi-state income tax experience within consolidated groups

· Familiarity with LLC structures, payroll tax, and non-income tax matters

· Experience managing IRS and state audits

· Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring and developing teams

· Strong technical research and analytical capabilities

· Experience with digital transformation or system enhancements

· Ability to influence senior leadership and partner across a matrixed organization
