About this RoleThe Senior Director of Safety & Quality at IFS InfraSource will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide safety and quality programs tailored to the natural gas, electric, renewables, site utility and communications industries. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and cultivating a proactive culture of safety and operational excellence across all InfraSource operations. The Senior Director will collaborate with executive leadership, field teams, and external stakeholders to enhance performance, mitigate risk, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.
What You'll Do Design and execute long-term safety and quality strategies aligned with InfraSource’ s business objectivesChampion a culture of safety and quality across all levels of the organizationLead the development and implementation of comprehensive safety and quality programs specific to natural gas, electric, renewables, site utility and communications industries. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulationsOversee the creation and delivery of advanced training programs for employees and subcontractors, including hazard recognition, emergency response, and industry-specific protocolsPromote continuous learning and professional development within the safety and quality teamsDirect investigations of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actionsMonitor and report safety and quality performance metrics to executive leadershipConduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for high-risk operationsLead internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety and quality standardsDevelop and maintain emergency response plans, including disaster recovery and crisis management protocolsCoordinate drills and simulations to ensure organizational readinessServe as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, clients, and internal leadership on safety and quality mattersPresent strategic updates and performance reports to the executive team What You'll Bring Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in safety and quality management within the natural gas, electric, renewables, site utility and communications industries. Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field preferredMaster’s degree and/or professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, Six Sigma) are considered a distinct advantageDeep understanding of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practicesProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide initiativesStrong analytical, communication, and decision-making skillsExperience with safety and quality management systems and data analytics tools What You'll Get Paid on-the-job technical and professional trainingDefined career path for future growthCompetitive wages and industry-leading benefits including Retirement PlanThis position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
