Maintains overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the division strategy and is expected to provide financial analysis and implement recommendations based on these findings with the most profitable outcomes. Serves on division leadership team and supports other division functional leaders to help them plan and manage their own budgets. Directs and coordinates the preparation of financial reports, in line with US GAAP, and appraises operating results in terms of budgets, projections, trends and profit opportunities.
Financial partner to respective Group’s business and Finance leaders, enabling the enterprise-wide and EU strategy and objectives. Creates, enables and executes the Group’s and relevant Divison’s financial strategy and plans. Manages the process for timely and accurate financial reporting and forecasting and budget process consolidation to support the EU leadership, Group leadership & other Stryker Corporate senior leaders. Oversees the FP&A activities for the Division. Serve as a key strategist and change agent in building and maintaining an organization that drives exceptional performance. Drives the implementation and improvement of consistent and efficient finance practices and processes across all their respective group’s divisions as well as in collobartion with all other divisions/groups.
This role will be a member of the European Finance Leadership Team and will drive to create alignment across each Group Finance Function and Country Finance. The role reports directly to the Divisional Finance VP Endoscopy with a dotted line to the Divisional VP/GM Endoscopy and Senior Finance Director Europe.
Responsibilities
+ Finance business partner for the Endoscopy Europe Division VP / GM and division leadership, supporting in the P&L management.
+ Work with the business unit leadership team to grow the business by formulating appropriate financial strategies and plans. Support the identification of market opportunities (“where to win”). Determine business strategy to seize market opportunities (“how to win”).
+ Deliver Results through Teamwork: Work through others and across teams, aligning people and resources, establishing high standards of performance and creating a climate of mutual accountability that delivers expected business results.
+ Drives long term strategic planning, assessing business potential and transformation, including regional expansions and acquisitions.
+ Indirect management of all Europe Divisional finance leaders (directors, senior managers, managers) within the MSNT Group (group revenue: ~$1B), ensuring reporting and resource allocation consistency within the divisions and standardization of processes to improve efficiencies.
+ Direct management, coaching, development and mentoring of a divisional Finance Manager and of a group of 4-8 analysts that provide standardized support to all the divisions within the MSNT group.
+ Lead and manage the annual budgeting and weekly/monthly financial projection processes. Submit all divisional forecasts and budgets to Europe FP&A for consolidation and final signoff.
+ Accountable for improving forecast accuracy for the Group and supporting investments that will improve year over year leverage.
+ Finance coordination lead for “win big together” (cross-divisional deals).
+ Close involvement in analysis of new product launches, business development base case financial models and in integration activities.
+ Good understanding of the internal and external customer environment; engage with external customers when appropriate.
+ Support large tenders / contracts.
+ Sales channel/Go to market optimization and sales incentive development
+ Organizational blueprint improvements; Provide guidance on resource allocations
+ Partner with EU Finance in the implementation of any relevant policies and ensure all Company policies are adhered to within the business unit.
+ Continuous partnering with the VP Finance EMEA, Sr FD Europe and MSNT Group CFO to provide recurrent updates of the Europe business for all the divisions within the group and to request support as needed.
+ Build and develop a strong environment of collaboration and partnership with Country Finance teams, Europe FP&A and Transatlantic Finance teams in the U.S.
+ Represents the Division and Group on project teams at finance meetings. Member of Europe Finance Leadership Team.
+ Establishes strong connectivity with peer finance leaders across Stryker Corporation and the EU and represents the Group at finance leadership forums
+ Ensures the resources in the organization meet the strategic plan.
+ Create a transparent, collaborative environment which supports the sharing of expertise, information and resources.
+ Partners with business leaders on M&A deals, financial modeling and integration
