The Sr. Director, Media & Marketing Mix, is responsible for the planning and activation of over $100M+ in marketing investments to increase firm revenue through acquisition, expansion and retention of millions of prospects and clients across US and Canada. The Sr. Director, Media & Marketing Mix, leads and directs multiple internal departments, external vendors, and agencies to engage millions of prospects and clients across billions of touchpoints that propels them to become clients and deepen their wealth, maximizing in-market results. Reporting directly to the Head of Growth/Performance Marketing, this role will be responsible for driving the development and execution of innovative media strategies, optimizing marketing investments, and ensuring alignment with segment objectives in a compliance-heavy environment.
'\u2022 Accountable for firm value delivered from $100M+ in firm investment and multiple teams executing omnichannel media
\u2022 Leverage client segmentation, branch segmentation, and sequential journeys to design and execute integrated omnichannel campaigns\u2014including digital, mobile, social, programmatic, CTV, and experiential channels
\u2022 Native at data\u2010driven optimization. Manage marketing mix modeling, attribution frameworks, and business-linked KPIs to ensure direct linkage between spend and outcomes
\u2022 Partner cross EBM to drive continuous improvement via A/B and multivariate testing, predictive analytics, personalization, and campaign optimization
\u2022 Oversee and hold accountable the third party agency that negotiates with media vendors and partners to secure the best rates and placements
\u2022 Monitor campaign performance and implement real-time optimizations to achieve KPIs
\u2022 Partner closely with brand, digital, product, compliance, analytics, and agency teams to ensure alignment between creative, regulatory, and performance priorities
\u2022 Collaborate with analytics teams to measure the impact of marketing investments and refine strategies
\u2022 Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of media planners, channel strategists and analysts
\u2022 Identify opportunities to leverage new tools, platforms, and methodologies to enhance campaign performance
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred15+ years in marketing leadership, including ~8+ years leading paid media strategy at enterprise scale\u2014preferably within regulated financial services, banking, insurance, or WM Channel Mastery: Expertise across digital video, social, OTT/CTV, programmatic, search, native content, podcasts, audio, and personalization technology stacksDeep knowledge of advertising ecosystem and partners (DV360, The Trade Desk).Familiarity with media planning tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau)Proven experience development omnichannel journeys by audience segments, including two tiered segmentation with client segments and intermediated advisor segmentsStrong knowledge of marketing mix modeling, attribution, and performance measurement.Proven ability to manage large budgets and deliver measurable business outcomesExceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsAnalytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsAwareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory considerations in media and advertisingAt Edward Jones, we are building a place where everyone feels like they belong.
