Director Hospital Financial Reporting
Position Purpose:
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Director - Financial Reporting directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization. Directs the planning, organizing and implementation of hospital financial planning activities, budgeting, accounting systems and controls.
The Director -Financial Reporting develops and implements departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Provides oversight and guidance on regulatory and standard accounting policies and practices. Interfaces and collaborates with internal and external entities
This position assists with the preparation and evaluation of departmental budgets and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Oversees and directs special projects and change management initiatives
The Director - Financial Reporting is expected to organize resources, provide leadership and achieve results in a project oriented and fast paced setting. The utilization of strong and sound business acumen while possessing the ability to communicate effectively, discuss financial related matters with diverse groups, prepare oral and written reports and maintain a high level of confidentiality when required is key to this position.

Ability to understand and interpret complex issues and processes and to recommend actions related to financial operations resulting in financial improvement and/or operations compliance and/or enhancement
• Ability to create/design and present information in a presentation format that translates technical financial terminology into terms understandable to leadership, associates, and external customers
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
· Licensure / Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Preferred)
· Experience: 10 or more years of experience in hospital financial operations with progressively increasing responsibilities.
