Senior Director Global Scientific Communications - Permanent - Boston, MA

An innovative, mid-sized biotech is hiring a Senior Director to lead Global Scientific Communications for a high-priority therapeutic area. This role will oversee strategy, execution, and team leadership across publications, scientific platforms, and key external engagement from early development through post-launch.

Qualifications:

Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) or equivalent experience10+ years in medical/scientific communications within biotech/pharma or agencyProven team leadership and experience in rare or complex disease areasDeep knowledge of publication practices (GPP, ICMJE)Strategic thinker with strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

CMPP certificationExperience supporting global product launches

The Senior Director's responsibilities will be:

Own global scientific communications and publication strategyLead and develop a team of scientific communication professionalsDrive cross-functional alignment with Clinical, Medical, and Commercial teamsOversee the development of abstracts, manuscripts, slide decks, and other core materialsManage agencies, budgets, and timelines while ensuring compliance with industry standardsBuild strong relationships with investigators, KOLs, and external stakeholders
