Senior Director Finance, EMEA

**Collaboration and Business Interactions**
+ Build and develop strong working relationships with the EMEA leadership team, EMEA functional leaders and TOM Divisional Finance.
+ Partner with EMEA enabling functions for the evaluation and execution of initiatives and projects aimed at increasing efficiency of EMEA shared services.
+ Set direction and provide guidance to Country Finance teams to continuously improve their support to the local businesses.
+ Act as primary finance partner for Corporate Finance, the PFC and US group finance for all financial matters. Deputy for VP Finance when required.
+ Represents the EMEA finance function on organizational project teams, at management meetings and with external organizations
+ Lead the EMEA Finance Leadership Team (EFLT)
**Business Planning & Analysis**
+ Lead and manage the EU financial planning & reporting processes
+ Support the VP Finance and President of EMEA to devise strategies and plans to achieve the Region’s goals and improve long term Operating Margins and Cash Flow.
+ Responsible for the consolidation and review of EMEA Budget and Strategic Plan, providing input to ensure they are in line with business conditions and total Company objectives and strategy
+ Primary ownership of EMEA Enabling Functions budget
+ Participate to the evaluation of Country Go-to-Market strategies and the evolution of sales channels’ structures to maximize business growth while minimizing business risks
+ Organize the FP&A team to provide strong analytical support to all EU business leaders
**Performance Management**
+ Actively manage EMEA P&L to drive operating income performance and increase Operating Margins across the Region. Identify Risks & Opportunities and proactively follow up with the relevant divisions and functions.
+ Provide analysis and insights into variances between actual and expected financial results. Report and track business performance against measures that affect value.
+ Support Country Finance and PFC teams to implement and maintain a solid credit management program and strong credit control environment to maximize cash collection and minimize bad debt risks. Review and approve significant credit terms or adjustments to customer accounts
+ Partner with the Inventory CoE to continuously review and improve the analytics around inventory to optimize inventory levels and effectively manage E&O risks. Partner with operations to implement action plans to reduce DII.
+ Devise strategies and plans to improve Cash Flow performance.
+ Drive simplification, efficiency, automation and continuous improvement of all financial processes in EMEA
**Indirect Channel Management**
+ Provides leadership for all EMEA financial aspects of Indirect Channels including Medical and NV
+ Ensure all ICM Finance policies are in place across the Region
+ Review the Go To Market strategies across EMEA and ensure active monitory of IC compliance risks
+ Monitors and identifies enhancement opportunities for internal controls related to how we engage and transact with indirect channels
+ Proactively work with the ICM and local teams to look at opportunities for more profitable interactions with IC partners
**Financial Accounting and Reporting**
+ Ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial reporting in compliance with company policies & procedures and in accordance with US GAAP standards. Review P&L and Balance Sheet statements to identify and correct errors or omissions prior to reporting.
+ Ensure high quality of the accounting records and overall accuracy of the P&L and Balance Sheet of the Region
+ Confirm that adjustments for revenue recognition, rebates and other credit and debit adjustments are properly accounted for and in the correct period
+ Ensure there are adequate processes in place to capture all required costs and accruals
+ Manage the review of account reconciliations and the quarterly balance sheet review process
+ Partner with the PFC to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the accounting and reporting activities
**Internal Controls**
+ Responsible for the design and management of an effective internal control system for the Region, in line with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
+ Make sure critical business processes are well documented and communicated to facilitate effective and efficient execution.
+ Partner with the PFC to establish and maintain an effective Financial Compliance program. Ensure adequate resources and training are in place to continuously review and improve its status.
+ Oversee the timely and complete implementation of Corporate Policies across all Countries. If deviations are required based on local requirements or business needs, ensure those are duly obtained and approved by corporate finance.
+ Assume primary responsibility for the results of internal and external audits. Set the right tone for the team and ensure they have the resources and knowledge required to maintain high standards of financial compliance.
**People Management**
This is a critical element of the position, with direct responsibility for all EMEA finance resources.
+ Provide leadership and direction to the EMEA finance teams.
+ Ensure that resources are optimally deployed across the Region, work is allocated effectively, and talent is continually developed to meet the current and future needs of the organization.
+ Identify high potentials and provide them with opportunities to grow and develop to their next roles
+ Actively promote an environment of trust and high engagement, leading by example
+ Exercise high level of influence over the rest of the organization, effectively partnering with TOM Divisional Finance, the PFC, Tax, Indirect Spend and other departments to achieve functional and business objectives
+ Lead the evolution of the finance function in EMEA, in alignment with global strategies and goals
+ Work with the PFC and Divisional Finance teams to develop the “one team culture”
**Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred**
+ Minimum experience of 10 years in Multinational corporation, with progression to a management role (Finance Director / Senior Controller). Big Four auditing background highly desirable.
+ Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, manage and motivate teams across multiple Countries.
+ Ability to clearly establish and communicate priorities and effectively organize resources to achieve objectives
+ High level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility
+ Accustomed to working under pressure and within deadlines
+ Able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. Sensitive to cultural differences.
+ Able to resolve problems and conflicts in a professional and tactful manner
+ Able to identify and implement innovative solutions to meet business requirements
+ Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable
+ Strong communication skills capable of engaging senior executives and other audiences
+ Excellent interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels in an organization and directly influencing finance and business objectives
+ Proficient in English, Multi-lingual or multi-cultural talent would be an advantage
+ Up to 30% travel may be required
**Education/Special Training Required**
+ B.B.A. or B.S. (or equivalent) with an emphasis in Accounting and/or Finance
+ M.B.A. (or equivalent) with concentration in Finance, Accounting or general business (preferred)
+ CPA preferred Multi-lingual or multi-cultural talent preferred
+ Familiar with local GAAP, US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley Act
