As a Gartner Analyst you will create and advise on a portfolio of Gartner research, communicate it to clients and support sales in new sales and client retention. Your research portfolio will provide insight, predictions and actionable advice to clients in the roles of Chief Data and Analytics Officers, Data & Analytics Leaders, and leaders of D&A Governance. In addition, you will understand adjacent research areas and practices.

Drive client demand for Gartner’s research though your thought leadership. Cover the specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas, while maintaining a view across a broad spectrum of the market, to produce innovative, thought-leading, impactful, fact-based research. Areas this role may need to address include leadership of D&A, leadership of D&A Governance, organizational models, trust models, management of risk and other emerging topics.Understand and address the needs of our clients. Identify critical questions facing Gartner clients and craft appropriate research methods to address them. Provide in-depth analysis based on extensive client input, collaboration with other Gartner analysts and personal experience.Utilize applicable experience in related industry discipline and deep knowledge of a particular market, industry or role; deep understanding of both technology and industry to include the market, vendors, products and user strategies in specific areas. Create and deliver high value presentations and other materials. Presentation types may include webinars, in person client meetings, and large stage presentations, and workshops at conferences.Answer client questions through 400-500 client interactions each year (e.g. Inquiry calls, Document reviews, etc.)Assist the Sales organization in selling and retention on topics covered by your team.Provide high quality and timely research peer review. After some time in your role, provide mentorship and support team members.Actively participate in or lead research community meetings to discuss research issues and collaborate effectively with peers.What you’ll need:
12+ years of experience within the field of D&A Governance, D&A Leadership, or the role of CDAO.You bring a deep understanding of both technology and industry to include the market, vendors, products and user strategies in specific areas.Experience in presenting to clients at events and conferences, performing workshops and briefings.Strong writing skills.Expertise in Data & Analytics Governance, including organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, maturity levelsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferredWillingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable)#LI-SH2
