Senior Director, Talent Acquisition Excellence

**Purpose:**
The Senior Director, Talent Acquisition Excellence is a visionary and strategic leader responsible for shaping the future of Talent Acquisition at UPMC. This role sets the direction for a modern, technology-enabled recruitment function that ensures UPMC attracts, engages, and hires top talent in alignment with long-term organizational priorities. This leader will be a key voice in defining the talent acquisition strategy for UPMC, ensuring TA capabilities are future-ready, data-driven, and responsive to evolving workforce demands.
**Responsibilities:**
Vision & Strategic Leadership:
+ Set and communicate a enterprise-wide vision for the future of Talent Acquisition, grounded in innovation and business impact.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leadership, ensuring TA strategy is deeply aligned with system-wide priorities and workforce planning.
+ Translate organizational goals into actionable recruitment strategies that scale across business units and adapt to dynamic labor market trends.
+ Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that modernize the TA operating model and future-proof the organization's approach to hiring.
Operational Excellence & Performance Management:
+ Lead and develop a high-performing team of individuals cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.
+ Serve as the operational lead for all TA technology systems, enhancements, and enterprise-wide rollouts.
Technology, Analytics & Innovation:
+ Partner with HRIS and other cross-functional teams to develop robust dashboards and reporting that guide decision-making and measure impact.
+ Propose and implement cutting-edge tools, platforms, and digital experiences to improve efficiency and engagement across the recruitment lifecycle.
+ Champion the adoption of automation and scalable solutions that enhance both candidate and recruiter experiences.
Compliance, Audit & Policy:
+ Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards in partnership with Legal, HR Compliance, and Employee Health.
+ Lead the evaluation and improvement of processes and policies to reduce risk and improve standardization and operational rigor.
Continuous Improvement & Benchmarking:
+ Monitor market trends and conduct benchmarking to identify and embed industry best practices.
+ Drive proactive communication strategies to ensure stakeholders are informed, aligned, and engaged throughout the recruitment process.
+ Foster a culture of learning, feedback, and continuous improvement within the TA function.
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Management or a closely related field and at least 8 years of human resources or recruitment experience and 5 years of management experience is required.
+ A master's degree and/or relevant professional certification are preferred.
+ Experience with a large, multi-site employer is highly desired.
+ Demonstrated ability to translate business imperatives into talent acquisition initiatives and results. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
