Trojan Technologies - a high-growth, mission-driven leader in water treatment - is looking for a Senior Director, Marketing & Strategy to own its strategic agenda, turn insight into growth, lead M&A activity, and further develop the marketing and strategy function around a talented and ambitious team. London, Ontario is the base — the impact is global.


Position Summary
 

Trojan Technologies designs, manufactures and sells UV disinfection and micro-filtration solutions that span a broad range of municipal, industrial and residential water treatment systems.

Based in London, Ontario (or able to relocate) allowing on-site working 3 days a week at our HQ, the Senior Director – Marketing & Strategy is responsible for driving enterprise‑wide strategic planning and ensuring the successful execution of initiatives that fuel global commercial growth. This leader partners closely with the President, the Trojan Leadership Team, and Veralto stakeholders to define, refine, and activate the company’s strategic agenda while generating actionable insights and executing initiatives that fuel Trojan’s long-term growth.

The role oversees strategic planning, M&A, market intelligence, vertical marketing, branding & demand generation, and regulatory. The role requires strong cross‑functional alignment to ensure that developed strategies, insights, and campaigns are effectively utilized throughout the Trojan organization, including long-term planning, product management & innovation, sales & channel management, and more.  

The Senior Director fosters cross‑functional alignment, provides thought leadership, and embeds a culture of disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. This existing role reports to the President and is a member of the senior leadership team.

Detailed Role Responsibilities

People Leadership & Organizational Development

Lead a multi-level organization, managing managers who in turn lead their own functional teams (e.g., vertical marketing, brand & demand generation, etc.).Develop people throughout the key functions of the organization to build capabilities and drive sustainable growth through the Marketing & Strategy organization.Set clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for leaders and teams.Build talent pipelines, coach functional managers, and foster a collaborative, high-performing, and innovative culture.Lead resource planning, team structure optimization, and budget ownership across all marketing and strategy functions.Drive continuous improvement opportunities throughout all marketing and strategy functions leveraging the Veralto Enterprise System (VES)
 

Trojan Strategic Planning

Manages the annual Trojan strategic planning process and specific strategy initiatives across the company, partnering with the Director Strategy and PresidentDevelop plans to accelerate business growth and profitability through organic initiatives, partnerships, M&A, and Water Quality Segment collaboration.Partner with Trojan’s global leadership and strategic teams to develop viewpoints that take into account market specific trends and opportunities across geographies and end-markets.Define, manage, and track key company-wide strategic performance.Build “Executive ready” project deliverables, including presentations for Veralto Senior Leadership at both the segment and corporate levels.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Provide oversight and guidance for core and adjacent opportunities for possible expansion through partnerships, OI, or M&A. Support team to partner closely with Veralto Corporate Development and key stakeholders on ownership of the Trojan inorganic funnel, strategic assessment, analysis and recommendations, Merger & Acquisition deal flow, due diligence & potential integration.Partner with President and Director Strategy to lead M&A market work, cultivation, deal support, and integration.

Intelligence & Insights

Oversee development and dissemination of competitive intelligence, customer insights, global market sizing, VOC insights, and trend analysis to inform strategic decisions.Coach team to synthesize data into insightful and data driven summaries and recommendations for Trojan senior leadership team.

Vertical Marketing

Lead managers to develop 1-3 year vertical market strategies based on primary and secondary data within core verticals and markets.Oversee internal market research and/or manage external market research firms to conduct VOC to inform market work and develop strategic insights.Partner with global leaders across sales, marketing, innovation, product management, operations, and finance to ensure execution and alignment of product roadmaps, commercial planning, go‑to‑market, and marketing campaigns.

Branding & Demand Generation

Lead managers overseeing brand strategy, internal/external communications, PR, content development, and executive communications.Drive global marketing strategies and campaigns that accelerate demand, strengthen differentiation, and support commercial growth.Ensure alignment between product strategy, market insights, and commercial activation.Strengthen market presence through thought leadership, strategic communications, and high-impact content.

Regulatory Engagement & Strategy

Manages the development and oversight of Trojan’s regulatory strategy and ensure alignment between evolving water regulations and business priorities.Ensure the organization proactively monitors, interprets, and responds to regulatory changes affecting water treatment and reuse.Support executive‑level engagement with regulatory agencies and key external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Marketing preferred.Minimum of 10 years of senior-level experience in strategy, marketing, portfolio management, or solution commercializationExperience providing marketing, strategy and/or product management leadership within complex organizationsGlobal leadership experience, leading diverse teams across North America and international marketsExperience building and executing financial models and business cases.Experience in industrial B2B markets, direct experience within municipal, industrial, or residential water treatment preferred

LOCATION: Based in London, Ontario, with up to 40% travel across North America and internationally.
