Position summary:
The Strategy Leader is responsible for strategy management and the annual enterprise strategic planning process:
+ Leads the operational execution of the annual cycle in partnership with the Enterprise Strategy Department Leader from communications and calendar alignment to consolidation of materials and facilitation of management review meetings.
+ Leads special projects and supports the VP, Strategy in the overall approach of executing Strat Planning to the Growth Framework.
+ Creates, drives, and facilitates the appropriate forums (Divisional, Group, GCL, SLT, and BOD) and decision-making process in support of Strategy.
+ Drives change management with key stakeholders and leaders throughout the organization to deliver a cohesive strategy management discussion that can flow up and down the organization
+ Based on the roll-up of all the strat plans across the company and key external trends, partners with the Department Leader to develop an enterprise strategy for the SLT.

+ Lead strategic planning process improvements as architect (identification, development and execution) and subject matter expert.
+ Work with key stakeholders to manage SLT and GCL agendas at the operational level to continue driving discipline of using the strategy to the Growth Framework (comprehensive investment decision making, tracking towards our LRFP, course correcting when necessary) and designing impactful forums for the SLT.
+ Provide ad-hoc support as needed for special projects as determined by the Enterprise Strategy Department leader (e.g., governance and decision framework, re-engineering of Factbase, macro environmental trends, enterprise level review of competitors, Divisional interdependencies)
+ Provide operational support to Group, Functional and Regional Strategy Department leads, VP/GMs, Presidents and Functional leaders.
+ The Strategy Leader and team will serve as the experts in the strat planning process and will build a sustainable education plan, and serve as experts/consultants in building strat plans across the company when needed (e.g. NT, Inari, enterprise Digital)
+ Build and evolve an education plan that includes top down and bottoms up approaches
+ Act as liaison to key partner organizations that have interdependent processes (e.g., AMP, LRTP, BD, GQO) to ensure strategy is connecting all parts of the organization, not just commercial.
**Education & special trainings:**
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
**Qualifications & experience:**
+ 10 years of prior work experience required with at least five years’ experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Business Development or related fields preferred
+ 5+ years of experience in med tech business development for a medium-to-large multi-national corporation (greater than $500M sales).
+ U.S experience is required, Global exposure or experience preferred.
+ Prior leadership experience with direct people leadership responsibility. Proven experience managing and leading large teams with a strong focus on operational excellence.
+ Demonstrated experience leading multiple mid to large scale complex projects demanding cross-functional cooperation, setting milestones, fixed budgets, and the resultant timely completion of these projects.
+ Demonstrated applied knowledge of project management tools and methodology, including an understanding for budget management, milestone planning and deliverables
+ Ability to influence across multiple stakeholders at varying levels, especially in areas where you don’t have the direct reporting line(s) or authority
+ Strong candidate presentation skills; can present complex information in a clear, concise manner to cross-functional stakeholders.
+ An inherent sense of urgency to drive great results, while being precise in executing your work.
+ Capable of creating and communicating a clear project plan, tracking progress, and keeping your business partners updated throughout the planning continuum.
+ Think outside the box to come up with innovative solutions to new challenges, relying on your previous analytical work and experiences to guide you.
+ Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships at all levels within an organization with a focus on problem solving and proactive service orientation.
+ Excellent analytical skills and the ability to package information in clear, concise, executive level ready format
+ Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change and meet deliverables in a complex, matrixed environment
+ Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
+ Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a rapidly changing regulatory and business environment
