Senior Director, Regional Plant Maintenance
This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Lead the design, construction, and maintenance of Spectrum plant across the region to improve node and network performance. As a Senior Director, Regional Plant Maintenance, you'll oversee preventive maintenance and restoration plans, ensure maintenance teams follow documented design and setup procedures, and drive Node health to greater than 98% as a measurable impact.


How You’ll Make an Impact

Coordinate design, construction, and maintenance strategies across the region to meet plant performance goalsDevelop and implement fiber restoration plans and preventive plant maintenance plans for each management area and create reporting to track progress and status of goalsEvaluate training needs and ensure Maintenance Technicians complete required training to perform their job responsibilitiesCreate and maintain an engineering notebook detailing proper setup procedures and design specifications for all plant equipment to be implemented by maintenance teamsWork closely with management area leadership to ensure all plant performance goals are metWork closely with the Regional Operations Center (ROC) to drive field compliance and meet regularly to review performance criteria and metricsSupport strategic troubleshooting using network tools and national data and develop metrics for plant maintenance and whole house certificationParticipate in budgeting and capital forecasting to improve plant readiness

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, related field or equivalent

Experience

10+ years of engineering or technical experience10+ years of plant or system maintenance experience5+ years of project management experience

Skills

Handle multiple tasks and make decisions while working under pressureAbility to supervise and motivate othersProficient with personal computer and software applicationsAbility to train field engineers in HFC network digital impairment characteristics, FEC, MER, CPD, and other mechanical and electrical impairments and correctionsAdvanced knowledge of Spectrum/ telecommunications products and servicesAdvanced knowledge of HFC, Advanced Video, and IP NetworksDemonstrated understanding of preventive maintenance principles and balance between preventive and demand maintenance activitiesDemonstrated working experience in developing, reporting, and managing to agreed upon operational metricsHigh level working knowledge of network monitoring tools (primarily Lighthouse)Understanding of DOCSIS principles, modem and set top box topology in accessing and utilizing telemetry data for monitoring and troubleshooting purposesEngineering level expertise in cable HFC optical nodes, including optimization and certification, configuration, forward and reverse sweeping theoretical and practical activitiesExpertise in plant mechanical and electrical integrity in terms of signal leakage and CLI

The base pay for this position generally is between $141,300.00 and $250,900.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
