(Senior) Director, Institutional Sales, Korea
The Director/ Senior Director, Institutional Sales, Korea role is responsible for generating and retaining assets with Institutional investors for Korea. Based in Hong Kong, the position is responsible for managing the Korea institutional business across all assets. The position requires an extensive background in engaging with institutional investors in Korea. The candidate is required to have existing relationships, have a strong ability to expand their network, and will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong and mutually beneficial business relationship with institutional investors. In addition, the candidate will be required to have experience in public markets and private assets. **Position Responsibilities:** + Responsible for institutional client coverage across Korea to generate sales and revenue to meet objectives for the institutional business. Cover clients personally and lead client engagement and management to cultivate key institutional client relationships and develop sales through those contacts. + Act as a strategic advisor, providing expertise and insights regarding various investment capabilities. Engage in research and portfolio discussions, new product idea generation, and marketing content development to win new mandates. + Play an accountable role in collaborating with sales colleagues within Asia on all related opportunities. Maintain updated activity logs in management systems to enhance wider organizational capacity. + Lead by example through behaviors and proficiency. Maintain knowledge of industry-related topics and developments through engaging with thought leaders and participating in industry forums. **Required Qualifications:** + 10+ years of experience in an institutional sales role within the investment industry + Demonstrated sales leadership capability and in-depth knowledge of the Korean market. + Proven track record of building business with target clients by way of AUM and revenue growth in Korea. + Comprehensive understanding of a wide variety of asset classes + Skilled in engaging with C-level decision-makers at Sovereign Wealth Funds, Government Pension Funds, Insurers, Family Offices, and Corporations. + Fluent in Korean and English, both oral and written. + Bachelor’s degree required, MBA and/or CFA preferred. **Preferred Qualification:** + Understanding of both public and private asset classes offered by Manulife and the specifics of each strategy/product. + Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivation, and a drive to build a business. + Recognized as a thought leader with the ability to engage external audiences at a high level. + Proficient in CRM software and other sales tools for managing client relationships and tracking sales activities. + Strong collaborative and interpersonal communication skills. + Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. **When you join our team:** + We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. + We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words. + As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see. **Acerca de Manulife y John Hancock** Manulife Financial Corporation es un importante proveedor internacional de servicios financieros que ayuda a las personas a tomar decisiones de una manera más fácil y a vivir mejor.
