Oversee site controller function, including A/P, T&E, fixed assets, general accounting and reporting, period-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and other areas as assigned. Evaluate, review and monitor accounting policies, ensuring accurate and consistent application.
Lead the Finance organization within the Business Service Center (BSC) with dotted line responsibilities for tax, audit, financial planning and analysis, and treasury functions to ensure the ramp up and stabilization of resources and capabilities for the site. Foster global Finance and Edwards culture at the local site. Collaborate with Country Finance teams. Acts as the key advisor to functional finance leaders and team leads in the BSC. Collaborate with functional leadership in HQ, global process owners, and BSC Finance Leaders in other regions to implement best practices, optimize processes and deliver efficiency improvement goals. Ensure optimal level /continuous improvement of service (Accounting, Tax, etc.) provided to EW entities within the region.
Serve as Finance business partner to BSC site leader managing accounting, budgeting, and expense management for the site.
How you'll make an impact:
Direct accounting activities for the site with overall responsibility for accounting team hiring and onboarding, ensuring results, and establishing objectives in support of the company's strategy for the site; set corporate controller performance management objectives.Define effective and efficient business process workflow for site controller organization, including process modifications in partnership with stakeholders. Lead efforts to optimize business processes and systems by assessing business needs and developing, proposing and implementing solution options in collaboration with HQ leadership and stakeholders.Oversee the Sarbanes Oxley cycle narratives are updated timely and accurately to reflect processes and controls for the site; ensure all SOX key controls are appropriately completed within areas of responsibility.Provide Local Leadership and engagement with internal Finance professionals to foster a connection to Edwards collaborative and results-driven culture. Support the transition of work activities into the site including talent acquisition and recruiting of finance personnel, onboarding events and Quality Assurance in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Finance leaders onsite and across Edwards. Serve as an escalation point and provide more complex technical expertise and resolutions to global finance partners Identify risk and areas of concern, understand evolving needs and provide recommendations and risk mitigation strategies to resolve issues in collaboration with functional leadership.
