Job Description

How you will make an impact:

Pharma Services Group (PSG or equivalent experience) is a $7B revenue group within Thermo Fisher Scientific. PSG or equivalent experience provides industry leading end-to-end pharma services capabilities to simplify the supply chain for customers.

Lead commercial operations at PSG by managing Deal Desk, strategic pricing, and deal modeling.

What you will do:

Deal Desk

Establish Deal desk – develop commercial standards and playbook to improve margin, win rates, secure better T&C’s and other P&L outcomesDevelop People, Process and Tools to accelerate decision making on DealsDevelop risk evaluation framework and risk adjusted pricing methodologyEnable AI based to automated decision making with minimized riskStandardize deal quoting and development across sites and BUs

Pricing

Develop Value pricing capabilitiesDevelop and implement price funnel strategiesPrice optimization and standardization to reduce margin leakageSegmented customer and market strategy to expand marginsImprove price and margins on mods/change orderStandardizing price administration to minimize discount leakage

Complex Deals and Financing

Manage complex deal modellingDevelop financing capabilities, structure deals with financing instrumentsPartner with Thermo Fisher Financing solutions to deploy existing capabilities

How you will get here:

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business related field required;

Experience

Strong analytical and commercial competence, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leadership.10+ years' experience in related rolesProven experience in Pharma, CDMO, or large industrial organizations, particularly within highly matrixed environments.Expertise in leading pricing functions, including modeling and structuring large, complex deals.Experience in project financing and deal structuring is a plus.Hands-on experience in establishing and managing a Deal Desk to drive commercial excellence.Track record of implementing new digital tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.

Excellent spoken and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various partners.Able to deliver high quality effective presentation and understands and deploys best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex topicsSelf-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job done
