Chemours is seeking a Senior Director of Corporate Development to join our Finance team. This position will be available at the Wilmington Office Building and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

The Senior Director of Corporate Development is a strategic leader responsible for driving Chemours’ growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other corporate transactions. This role partners closely with senior executives to identify, evaluate, and execute opportunities that align with Chemours’ Pathway to Thrive business strategy. The role leads cross-functional project teams, builds strong relationships internally and externally, and ensures thorough due diligence and integration planning.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Lead the identification and assessment of acquisition, divestiture, and partnership opportunities aligned with Chemours’ growth strategy.Manage end-to-end deal processes: market and target screening, strategic fit evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning.Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, advisors, potential partners, and key industry contacts.Prepare and present deal proposals and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.Collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations teams to ensure seamless deal execution and post-merger integration.Monitor industry trends, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.Mentor and develop junior team members within the Corporate Development function.

The following is required for this role:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.10+ years’ progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, strategy consulting, or related fields within the chemical or manufacturing industry.Proven track record of leading M&A transactions and strategic initiatives from origination through integration.Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Strong business acumen and ability to assess complex strategic opportunities.Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional and high-performance teams.High integrity, professionalism, and commitment to Chemours’ values.
