Senior Director, Business Applications Management

To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **What You’ll Be Doing** Working under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Transactional Banking, the Senior Director, Business Applications Management is responsible for supporting the Transactional Bank (TB) activities with direct accountability for the Commercial Banking (CB) team, the TB Sales teams, the TB Product and Digital groups, the TB middle office functions (e.g. client onboarding and service), the TB Business Management Office, and all TB coordination activities with internal partners and stakeholders. In this role, you will manage a team of 10-15 FTE specialized in CRM, Billing, Lending and Data applications management and have overall responsibility for the strategic development, management and profitability of the business applications used within TB and CB, in the context of the overall Commercial and TB strategy. This will include the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, the Billing and Lending applications, and the Data applications. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How You'll Succeed** + **Design and Deliver Business Applications –** Develop and execute the internal business applications strategies for CRM, Billing, Lending and Data to improve CIBC’s workflows with a focus on accelerating output through automation, enhancing coordination of work between teams, and minimizing errors. In doing so, you will work against an annual budget with proper prioritization focused on the modernization. You will own business application and will work on releases, go-to-market strategies, application adoption and performance, including training of internal stakeholders. You will ensure all business applications remain operationally efficient, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements. + **Application Management –** You will manage business applications post launch, ensuring that they remain operational, secure, and efficient. Where production issues occur on business applications, you will lead the resolution team. + **Stakeholder & Vendor Management -** Take into consideration the different approaches needed across different segments (e.g. Commercial Banking vs. Capital Markets vs. Business Banking vs. Private Banking). Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g. Line of Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, etc.) and external partners to build, launch, and support business applications. The role involves significant cross-functional responsibilities, including coordination and collaboration with several internal stakeholders (products, technology, operations, risk, infrastructure, AML, Fraud, sales, call centres, and Lines of Business etc.) and external stakeholders (vendors, partners, government bodies etc.). Manage third party vendors to ensure proper support of workflow at all times, including delivery of enhancements, integration into CIBC systems, and testing prior to deployment. + **Governance & Decision Making -** Establish proper governance to track and record investment prioritizations, decisions and establish the role of relevant stakeholders. Organizational governance and decision-making should promote accountability and transparency. + **Training & Development -** Lead the development of training programs and communication to internal stakeholders on business applications launches and enhancements, ensuring teams know how to use the applications. + **Team Management -** Manage and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous development to ensure high performance and professional growth. **Who You Are** + **You can demonstrate experience with** Transaction Banking, Cash Management and Lending. + **You embrace and advocate for change.** You have a strong understanding and proven experience in strategic planning and implementation. + **You're digitally savvy.** You have knowledge of product/application delivery, with extensive experience working with Technology and Operations partners. You can also demonstrate experience with data analytics and report building. Financial modelling skills in Excel and advanced presentation skills leveraging PowerPoint is required. + **You’re goal oriented.** You have project and Program Delivery experience and expertise. You have experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies. + **You are a caring and accountable leader.** You have experience developing and implementing strategic team goals.
