Job Description
Role Summary:
Designs, builds, implements, and maintains highly scalable, resilient, and observable cloud-native systems and applications. Focuses on automation, infrastructure as code, continuous delivery, and operational excellence within public or private cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture & Design: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud-native architectures (e.g., microservices, serverless functions, container orchestration like Kubernetes).
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to ensure repeatable and consistent deployments.
CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain automated continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient software deployment.
Monitoring & Observability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, New Relic) to ensure system health and performance.
Security & Compliance: Ensure security best practices are integrated into cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks at the infrastructure and system level.
Automation: Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, security, and product teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues across distributed cloud systems.
Basic Requirements
Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
IaC Tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
Scripting/Programming: Proficiency in languages like Python, Go, Bash, Ruby.
Operating Systems: Linux system administration.
Networking: Understanding of cloud networking, VPNs, load balancing.
Databases: Familiarity with various database types (SQL, NoSQL) in a cloud context.
Problem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex distributed systems.
