CGI is seeking a strong DevOps Engineer who is highly capable and self-driven AWS Cloud & DevOps Engineer to lead the implementation of cloud infrastructure and deployment automation for a high-impact project with CGI. This role requires a strong blend of AWS engineering, DevOps automation, and client-facing delivery experience. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and documenting secure, scalable infrastructure in AWS, while also building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines and supporting application deployment using Flux. The ideal candidate will be able to operate independently, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver a high-quality technical outcome. This role can be performed from Austin, TX in a Hybrid Model. **Your future duties and responsibilities:** Design and deploy AWS infrastructure components including VPCs, ALBs/NLBs, EC2, FSx, and EKS clusters. • Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment. • Implement GitOps workflows using Flux for Kubernetes-based application delivery. • Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. • Develop system monitoring dashboards using Datadog and integrate alerting mechanisms. • Create detailed documentation including: • Operational playbooks • VPN and PMaaS data flow diagrams • IAM, KMS, and AD group configurations • Conduct cost optimization reviews and implement efficiency improvements. • Participate in daily standups, weekly progress reviews, and milestone-based delivery cycles. • Collaborate with Thales stakeholders to validate deliverables and ensure alignment with project goals. **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** At least 8+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering and DevOps automation. at least 5+ years of recent experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting computing applications in a large-scale, midrange, and distributed environment. Strong hands-on experience with: 3+ Yrs experience on GitLab CI/CD (pipelines, runners, integrations) 5+ Yrs experience on Terraform (modular IaC, remote state, workspaces) 2+ Flux for GitOps-based deployment 5+ Yrs experience on Kubernetes (EKS preferred) Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar). Experience with TLS/SSL, IAM, routing, and secure networking. Familiarity with 2+ yrs on Datadog or similar monitoring platforms. Strong documentation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage client-facing responsibilities.
