In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our robust hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring it's scalable, reliable, and secure. You'll work closely with our development, operations, and security teams, acting as a technical DevOps leader to optimize our cloud environments, streamline deployment processes, and mentor junior engineers. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and maintaining our advanced DevSecOps pipelines and supporting complex automations. **Required technical and professional expertise** Key Responsibilities · Lead and Innovate: Architect, deploy, and manage highly scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on Hybrid cloud environments including hyperscalers like AWS or Azure. Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices to improve efficiency and system performance. · Automate and Optimize: Design and implement advanced automation and orchestration strategies to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management. You will be a key contributor to our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated processess and deployment are efficient and reliable. · Mentor and Collaborate: Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding development, operations, and security teams. You will mentor junior engineers, lead technical discussions, and drive the resolution of complex issues. · Manage Containerization: Oversee the management and optimization of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS). Your expertise will be key in implementing service mesh solutions like Istio, Linkerd, or AWS App Mesh. · Database Expertise: Lead and automate critical database migrations e.g from Oracle to AWS RDS PostgreSQL. This includes advanced SQL/PL SQL development and performance tuning. · Ensure Security: Implement and enforce robust security best practices across all infrastructure and applications. You will be responsible for security protocols, encryption, transport layer security (TLS/mTLS), certificate management, and securing credentials with tools like Hashicorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager or Azure Key Vault. · Monitor and Troubleshoot: Proactively monitor and troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, ensuring high availability and reliability. You will be instrumental in developing and refining our observability and logging strategies. Required Qualifications · Extensive Experience: Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or a similar senior-level cloud role. · Cloud Mastery: Deep expertise in cloud (IBMCloud, AWS and/or Azure), including advanced services such as AWS IAAS, ECS Fargate, Load Balancers, IAM, and VPC networking. · IaC and Automation: Expert-level knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). · Containerization: Extensive, hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or Openshift (EKS/AKS). A Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification is highly preferred. · CI/CD Leadership: Significant experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Helm, and Kustomize. · Database Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL/PL SQL with a focus on database migrations (Oracle to PostgreSQL). · Networking and Security: Solid understanding of advanced networking concepts and protocols, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, load balancing, and a strong grasp of security protocols, encryption, and certificate management. · Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell or PowerShell for advanced automation. Strong knowledge of Python coding is highly preferred. · Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and mentor. **Preferred technical and professional experience** Experience with multi-cloud deployments and advanced services (e.g., Azure AKS).
