Job overview and responsibilities


The Senior mobile application developer will collaborate with the eCommerce team and IT to develop, program, and test various projects utilizing the latest mobile technologies. 
In this role, the individual will design, develop, document, test, and debug the application. They will work with innovative technologies and enterprise-grade integration software on a daily basis and will be instrumental in advancing the customer mobile app to a higher technological standard. Additionally, the individual will have a strong understanding of our customers' needs and how emerging technologies can enhance the overall customer experience.

Manages and participates in the full development life cycle, including concept, design, build, deployment, testing, release to app stores, and supportOffer technical insights on current mobile platforms to enhance performance, availability, and utilization optimizationsSupport, maintain, and document  functionalityConduct research and development to assess emerging technologies and their potential to enhance the platformEvaluate, recommend, and implement third-party software as necessaryUtilize source control and bug-tracking systems effectivelyReview estimates for software development and delivery to ensure they meet quality and accuracy standardsPerform unit testing on code to ensure robustness, including testing for edge cases, usability, and overall reliabilityManages and participates in design meetings, analyzing user needs to determine technical requirementsCollaborates with and leads tech teams consisting of employees and contractor personnel from vendor companies in planning and execution, serving as a technology leaderCollaborate with the eCommerce Innovation and IT teams to test and refine developed software and programsPrepare projects for hand-off and deployment as proof of concepts transition to productionDevelop the ability to quickly adapt to changes and learn from field testing

 

Qualifications

 

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

 

Bachelor's degreeComputer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field 5+ years of experience in design, development, documenting, testing, and debugging of new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use in an agile environment5+ years of experience in application design, development, installation and modification of software required2+ years of experience with iPhone and/or Android development platforms Experience developing native iOS apps: Swift, SwiftUI, iOS SDK, XcodeExperience developing native Android apps: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Android StudioStrong analytical and problem-solving skills requiredAble to manage multiple priorities and deliverables, both short and long-term, in a busy and aggressive environment requiredMust be self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work in a team-oriented environment requiredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

 

 


The base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $142,936.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
