In this role, you will work within a scrum team to bring the designs and ideas to life for new or improved web applications. This work will support a mix of internal and external clients, and you will be working on projects currently in production.

You will start your day on a scrum call to prioritize and track work. Within the team you work on, you will choose user stories to work within a sprint cycle. You will spend most of your day developing and testing your code. Every three weeks, you will be involved in the release activities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

We'll start each day with a scrum, working together to understand responsibilities, ID any issues, and communicate coding priorities. Working in two-week sprints, you must keep up with timelines and good coding standards. Your primary responsibility is to deliver features on time. We don't code in a silo. You'll talk to everyone from the project manager to Quality Assurance and current customers to understand requirements and create a collaborative output. We're always learning new codes and investigating open source communities. Knowing what questions to ask is more important than knowing the right answers. You have 5-8 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

 

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

Minimum 5 years working experience with Node.js, Typescript, REST, and JSON. Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores, i.e. GraphQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis. Hands-on experience developing Web applications and strong understanding of object oriented design. Know how to apply AI tools, and use LLMs where appropriate. Advanced or Fluent English skills (medium to high capacity to interact with other teams) You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
