Human Resource Contact: 307-777-4356 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed in the job level. + Calculates and refines excavation, embankment, and haul quantities + Designs and details other roadway features such as guardrail installations, culverts & drainage ditches, storm sewer, and pedestrian facilities + Ensures designs meet requirements of WYDOT Road Design Manual and Design Guides, AASHTO Greenbook, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, and ADA Guidelines for Accessibility + Works with other engineering programs and with the design team to ensure the work is done per the scheduled dates set by the PCS system + Produces plans, attends inspections, writes reports, prepares exhibits, and attends public meetings + Formulates, reviews, and refines bid item summaries by calculating + Communicates/coordinates with other WYDOT Programs to ensure an accurate product + Assembles final contract plans and documents; generates slope-staking and blue-top reports + Attends periodic workshops to increase skills and knowledge, and trains others in new methods and procedures + Travels for field inspections and meetings, with overnight stays as necessary Qualifications PREFERENCES: Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with the WYDOT’s computer-aided design software.
