Iron Mountain is seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Senior Design Manager or Design Manager** to join our Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Design and Construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design delivery of world-class data center projects and ensuring all design solutions are high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective. The EMEA Design and Construction team is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge data center infrastructure across the region.
**What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)**
In this role, you will:
+ Lead the design process for data center projects, effectively managing third-party consultants and guaranteeing alignment with Iron Mountain's rigorous standards.
+ Collaborate with diverse internal teams—including Construction, Finance, Sales, and Operations—to validate project scope, budgets, and timelines.
+ Ensure compliance with organizational standards by providing oversight and reporting on key design and engineering elements, such as budget, schedule, and infrastructure activities.
**What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)**
The ideal candidate will have:
+ Experience in mission-critical design and/or similar high-tech, Mechanical and Electrical (M&E)-led industries (e.g., Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Laboratory).
+ Strong knowledge of complex electrical, mechanical, life safety, and control systems associated with critical facilities or data centers.
+ Proven ability to provide strong leadership within multi-disciplinary design teams, leveraging a versatile background in roles like design consultancy or client engineering.
+ A University Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or an equivalent field.
