Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer specializing in Wet Utilities to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of complex water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems for various projects in the region.

Develop and oversee the design of wet utilities systems, including water distribution networks, sewage collection systems, and stormwater management facilitiesUtilize advanced CAD software and hydraulic modeling tools to create detailed design drawings and specificationsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of wet utilities designs with other project componentsManage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designsConduct site visits and field investigations to assess existing conditions and gather necessary dataPerform hydraulic calculations and analysis to optimize system performance and efficiencyEnsure compliance with local and international design standards, regulations, and best practicesMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design teamPrepare technical reports, presentations, and design documentation for clients and stakeholdersStay updated on industry trends and innovative technologies in wet utilities design

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldMinimum 7-10 years of experience in wet utilities design, with a focus on water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systemsProficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, and hydraulic modeling toolsStrong knowledge of local and international wet utilities design standards and regulationsExperience in project management, including timeline and budget oversightExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approachStrong organizational abilities and efficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneouslyProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management toolsEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environmentProfessional Engineering (PE) license preferredUnderstanding of sustainable water management practices and their application in designWillingness to conduct site visits and field investigations in the Abu Dhabi regionAbility to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
