Senior Demand Planning Manager

PUPRPOSE

Leads the Category Demand Planning team for assigned Business Unit (s). Serves as primary business partner to Category Lead(s) for finance and planning support. Ensures delivery of Category operational & financial plans under purview. Leads and develops team of Demand Planners to achieve forecast accuracy, ensure healthy inventory levels and deliver high-level business partnering.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning (Demand & Financial)

Delivers Category financial steering through Strategic planning and guidance-setting; partners with Category Leadership to translate Category ambition and strategy into planning Accountable for Category Financial Plans, reflected in integrated business plan (IBP,) ensuring quality of plans and connectivity between seasonal to fiscal planning (Volume & Value) Guides creation and delivery of Operational Demand Plan, reflected in rolling demand plan (RDP,) ensuring thoughtful product planning and demand strategy to support capacity planning, on-time buying and healthy inventory level Leads a team of Demand Planners, working with Merchandising and Channel Teams to develop robust multi-season product forecasts (Volume & Value) and operational execution in planning systems Partners closely with FP&A and Channel Planning teams to deliver aligned and connected NAM plans, reflected in IBP & RDP, to steer market planning and to deliver against market objectives. Partners closely with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to resolve supply issues, ensure on time buying and availability and drive operational efficiency

Reviews & Insights

Leads monthly Category Business Reviews (local & Global) and RDP sign-off. Key participant in monthly Finance operating model and operational reviews Ensures Partner and Leadership teams have analysis and reports to enable transparency, informed decision-making and alignment Proposes and implements solutions to enhance ways of working across the team

Provide leadership & consultation for direct reports and peers through the sharing of best practice and mentoring fostering a people first culture

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Proven track record of successfully managing Demand Planning and/or Brand/Marketing/GTM Finance for a large market Strong understanding of Demand Planning software (SAP APO) & Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. relationship management, facilitation) High personal impact and high communication skills Proven leadership and managerial skills Strong analytical skills and proven methodological skills High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge to challenge and drive consensus between Sales, Merchandising, Finance & Supply Chain

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 7 years of Sales, Finance or Operations planning experience within a large organization and with an increasing degree of responsibility; Preferable experience in the sportswear industry Experience successfully leading, managing and developing teams 4-year college degree with emphasis in Business or Finance OR equivalent combination of education and experience
