Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Senior DataPower Consultant to join the team at one of our largest banking clients for a 6-month contract to full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: As a DataPower SME/Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable APIs and integration solutions using IBM DataPower Gateway appliances. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in DataPower technologies, supporting enterprise middleware and API management platforms. - Develop and maintain services using IBM DataPower XI52/XI50 appliances. - Design and implement SOAP/RESTful web services with robust security policies (OAuth2.0, SAML, SSL/TLS). - Create and manage multi-protocol gateways, web service proxies, and firewalls. - Perform data transformations using XSLT, JSON/XML schemas, and WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX). - Configure and troubleshoot AAA policies, cryptographic keys, and digital certificates. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture and implement CI/CD pipelines. - Provide production support, including emergency troubleshooting and performance tuning. - Document technical designs and mentor junior developers. Skills and Requirements • 5+ years of experience in DataPower development and integration. • Strong knowledge of:  • XML, JSON, XSLT, XPath, WSDL, XSD  • SOAP and RESTful web services  • WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ, and API Connect • Experience with security protocols such as:  • OAuth2.0, SAML, SSL/TLS  • AAA policies, certificate/key management • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and deployment automation. • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Perl, and Unix scripting. • Understanding of ETL processes, PL/SQL, and data modeling. Experience with network security protocols, JWT, and OAuth. • Working with large-scale enterprise systems within a financial services organization. • Agile/Kanban development experience preferred. • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Redis. Certifications in IBM DataPower, API Connect, or WebSphere are a plus.
