Job Overview
This position will be approximately 25% Development DBA and 75% Production DBA work. Responsibilities include work on both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server platforms.

Mandatory Skills
Core Database Administration

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (current and legacy versions)Experience troubleshooting performance issues in Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with performance tuning on Microsoft SQL ServerExperience running and troubleshooting SSIS packagesExperience with Oracle Enterprise Edition on Oracle Enterprise LinuxExperience with RMAN, ASM, and Oracle Enterprise ManagerExperience with PL/SQL, including package writing and materialized viewsExperience with database backups, test recoveries, and disaster recovery planningExperience with high availability configurations (e.g., SQL Server Always On, clustering; Oracle RAC)Experience with replication (e.g., SQL Server mirroring, log shipping; Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate)Experience with data migration techniques for datacenter consolidationAbility to monitor and resolve production database issuesAbility to upgrade and patch SQL Server and Oracle environments

Development DBA Responsibilities

Ability to design and create databases for development initiativesExperience with refreshing/cloning production databases into test environmentsAbility to consult on SQL queries for ad hoc analysisExperience developing or co-developing applications with development teams

Soft Skills

Ability to mentor junior DBAsAbility to discuss database-related details clearly with business stakeholdersCapable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Nice-to-Have Skills
Scripting & Programming

PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Perl scriptingVB and C# .NET programmingGeneral scripting and coding experience

Reporting & Messaging

Experience with SSRS 2008 R2 and 2022Familiarity with Oracle AQ / Message Queue

Tools & Utilities

Experience with TOADKnowledge of installing Oracle CPUs
