**Job Description:**
The **Senior Data Warehouse / Data Engineer** will be a key contributor to the Data Intelligence team, responsible for leading the analysis, visualization, and interpretation of complex data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across AGSCS. This role requires strong technical expertise in data warehousing and data modeling, advanced proficiency in Power BI, and experience in transforming data into impactful business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a deep understanding of cloud-based data management technologies.
**Key Responsibilities**
**• Data Warehousing and Modeling**
+ Apply advanced knowledge of **data warehousing principles** , including **ETL/ELT** , **dimensional modeling** , and **schema design** , to structure and manage data for optimal reporting and analysis.
+ Design and develop **data models** that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.
+ Collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure **data integrity, quality, and accessibility** in the data warehouse environment.
+ Leverage **cloud-based data management solutions** , with a **strong preference for AWS and Databricks** , to support warehousing and integration initiatives.
**• Data Integration and ETL**
+ Design and implement **robust ETL processes** using modern tools and best practices.
+ Integrate data from multiple sources to create unified datasets ready for reporting and advanced analytics.
+ Ensure efficient and reliable data movement, transformation, and storage across systems.
**• Advanced Analytics and Reporting**
+ Conduct comprehensive data analysis and generate **predictive and prescriptive insights** to support decision-making.
+ Develop and maintain complex **interactive dashboards and visualizations** in **Power BI** .
+ Use **DAX** (Data Analysis Expressions) to build KPIs, calculated columns, and measures.
+ Perform rigorous **data validation and quality checks** .
**• Business Intelligence Strategy**
+ Collaborate with business units to understand key metrics and reporting needs, and deliver actionable BI solutions.
+ Identify trends and patterns that inform business operations and strategy.
+ Support the development and execution of data intelligence and BI roadmaps.
**• Mentorship and Cross-functional Collaboration**
+ Guide junior team members on data warehousing concepts, Power BI development, and data analysis techniques.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to align data initiatives.
+ Present complex technical findings to non-technical audiences effectively.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
+ **4+ years of hands-on experience** in data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering roles.
+ **Strong technical skills in data warehousing and data modeling** , with practical experience in implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions.
+ **Very strong SQL and PL/SQL skills** for querying, analyzing, and transforming large datasets.
+ **Solid experience with ETL pipelines** and **data integration techniques** .
+ Proficient in cloud platforms, particularly **AWS** and **Databricks** , for data management and transformation.
+ Proficient in **Microsoft Power BI** , including **DAX** and **data visualization** .
+ Expert-level knowledge in **DBT** (data build tool), including advanced transformation techniques and data modeling
+ Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems.
+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
