Leidos currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of Data Science solutions for the Information and Data Sciences Division of the Leidos Innovations Center. This position will support multiple programs and projects as well as being responsible for defining and maturing the organization’s processes and building/supervising a core group of software engineers. Our projects focus on AI/ML, Resilient Systems, Quantum communications, and Cybersecurity solutions.
Primary Responsibilities.
Experience with research and hands-on development of Data Science solutionsDesign and development of methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze data sets. Develop and use advanced statistical concepts, algorithms, querying and automated processes to clean, model, integrate and evaluate complex datasetsContribute to complex data-driven development projects involving diverse data types using modern ML architecturesCan act as SME for program engagements or proposal effortsLead, build, mentor, and supervise a group of Data ScientistsBasic Qualifications.
BS degree and 8 + years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.Experience with research and hands-on development of data science solutions for AI/ML applications. Experience with complex data-driven development projects involving diverse data types using modern ML architecturesExperience in languages such as Python, C, C++, MATLAB, etc. Proficient in data exploration techniques and toolsCan act as SME for program engagements or proposal support Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to coworkers, teammates, and customers.Must have the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.Ability and willingness to work onsite in either San Diego California or Arlington Virginia.Preferred Qualifications.

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
