In your position as Senior Data Protection Manager you will lead the Group Data Protection team which is highly specialised, technically excellent and acts as the central point of contact at Group level for all data protection issues. The team supports the compliant digitization of our business and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. Together you will provide profound data protection advice to the Group functions of Heidelberg Materials and the Country Data Protection Coordinators of our subsidiaries worldwide giving you valuable insights into Heidelberg Materials’ operations. You will be empowered to advance and improve our data protection management system. Beyond that, you will contribute to the optimization of the global data protection organization and will expand its global activities.
The combination of Group tasks, team leadership and the exchange with our Country Data Protection Coordinators globally gives you the opportunity to delve deep into data protection matters from different organizational angles and to thereby create meaningful synergies.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Maintain and further develop the Group Data Protection Management System (e.g. risk assessments, tools, procedures, etc).
Manage data protection communication via various media channels within Heidelberg Materials
Lead the Group Data Protection team
Manage complex global projects and create blueprints for our subsidiaries worldwide
Provide guidance and advice to the Country Data Protection Coordinators globally
Manage investigations and the handling of incidents
Support Group Compliance & Data Protection in international compliance projects
YOUR PROFILE
University degree as full lawyer, graduate lawyer, business lawyer or business IT specialist, having acquired an additional qualification in data protection law
Ideally at least 5 years of profound experience in a similar role
Excellent communication, leadership and coaching skills
High level of commitment, proactivity and solution-orientation
Experience and understanding for the needs and organisational challenges of an international Group of companies
In-depth understanding of legal, technical and organizational aspects of data protection in practice
Ability to emphasize the practical relevance of data protection in projects in a concise and positive manner
Ability to develop clear and pragmatic implementation recommendations for functional departments
Intercultural awareness and diplomatic skills
Outstanding personal integrity and trustworthiness
Fluency in English and German
