Senior Data Modeler
Position Description:

CGI is looking to hire a skilled and experienced Senior Data Modeler to support the analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise information solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business subject matter experts, data stewards, data architects, business architects, and solution architects to translate business requirements into logical data models. You will also work with DBAs to ensure that physical data models align with their logical counterparts.

To be successful in this role, you should have deep expertise in 3NF and dimensional data modeling techniques, along with strong communication skills. You will be responsible for creating logical models that accurately reflect business definitions and rules, and that serve as the foundation for platform-specific physical data models.

Candidates local to St. Louis, MO are preferred. This position can be remote to someone who lives in the USA and willing to work CST hours.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Analyze and translate business requirements into conceptual and detailed logical data models.
• Develop logical data models based on existing applications and databases.
• Contribute to the ongoing refinement of data modeling standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with business architects, data architects, and data stewards to capture business requirements in logical data models.
• Assist in evaluating and recommending appropriate data platforms for solutioning efforts.
• Review implemented application databases for compliance with modeling standards.
• Assess physical data models to ensure alignment with logical data models.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in 3NF logical, dimensional, and physical data modeling.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in:
o ERWIN
o Metadata management and related tools
o Relational and document database technologies
o Business process modeling
o Physical data modeling for document stores

Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $214,600.00.
