Job Description

Team Leadership & Mentoring

 

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

 

Data Strategy & Roadmap

 

Define and execute the long-term strategy for our finance data platform, aligning it with overarching business objectives.

 

Architectural Oversight

 

Oversee the design and implementation of scalable data models, robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and the overall data architecture.

 

Stakeholder Management

 

Act as the primary strategic partner for senior leadership and finance stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and projects.

 

Project & Delivery Management

 

Manage the end-to-end delivery of data projects, from initial concept and resource planning to final deployment and adoption.

 

Hands-On Expertise

 

Serve as the senior technical expert for the team, providing guidance on complex challenges in SAP, Databricks, and data engineering.

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

MBA Finance or Bachelor / Masters Degree in any IT Field (with Data Analytics focus)

Experience :

Several years of professional experience in a similar role (Data Engineer, BI Specialist, Data Scientist) with a clear focus on the financial sector.

Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and growing technical teams in the data and analytics space.

 

Professional Experience

Extensive professional experience in data engineering, BI, or data science, with a significant focus on the financial domain.

 

Strategic Mindset

Strong ability to think strategically, create a compelling vision, and translate it into an actionable technical roadmap.

 

SAP & Databricks Expertise

Deep, hands-on expertise with both SAP data structures (FI/CO) and the Databricks platform (Spark, Delta Lake).

 

Technical Excellence

Expert-level skills in SQL and Python, with a strong understanding of modern data architecture principles.

 

Communication & Influence

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Languages

Fluent in English (written and spoken).
